Deel is seeking a Country Finance Manager to lead all financial activities in Italy (Bolzano). You will oversee accounting, tax compliance, and reporting to enable scalable growth and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role partners with cross‑functional teams, drives improvements to period end close and payroll oversight, and manages local tax reporting. ACCA/CPA or local equivalent is mandatory; 5+ years as an accountant in tech environments; Netsuite experience is a plus; English required.

• Proficiency in managing Payroll ERP systems; Netsuite experience is advantageous.
• Experience in a global environment with diverse financial regulations.
• Strong Excel and office skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written English; knowledge of local languages beneficial.

• Oversee and develop all financial activities in the country, including accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting with improvements to period end closing focus.
• Prepare and manage ledger entries, payroll, tax benefits, and contributions reports for regulatory bodies such as social security tax authorities, insurance, pension companies, and others.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including intercompany banking, customers, vendors, and accruals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor day-to-day transactions, maintain up-to-date books, and prepare comprehensive financial and administrative reports as required.
• Ensure timely and accurate submissions to tax authorities (VAT, CIT, Social Security & others).
• Ensure accuracy in payroll calculations made by our local Payroll Manager, oversee payroll software selection and integration, and address any issues related to payroll information and reporting.
