Job summary
Saipem in Italy is seeking a Corrosion-Materials Engineer to join the ENCAR Business Line. You will lead material selection, corrosion control strategies and support the field, project and commercial teams with sound engineering practices.
The role requires a Master’s degree in Material/Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 5–10 years’ experience in energy or related industries. Travel abroad is possible; a hybrid working model is offered, with a minimum pay of €43,000 for home-office contracts.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Material/Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience as a Material Engineer or Corrosion Engineer in energy or related sectors.
- Knowledge of corrosion software (Predict or similar) and MS Office.
Responsibilities
- Execute activities in own area, ensuring QA/QC and HSE compliance.
- Develop material selection and corrosion control strategies for projects.
- Support disciplines with engineering data, specifications, and procedures.
- Coordinate corrosion testing and contribute to RBI/Corrosion Risk analyses.
- Prepare reports and documentation for design reviews and execution phases.
