Dematic is recruiting for Commissioning Engineers to perform electrical and PLC software commissioning on material-handling projects across the EMEA region. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and on-time delivery with 70% travel to customer sites.

You will interpret electrical schematics, develop commissioning documentation, and ensure CE compliance while supporting system tests and end-user training.

Formación

• Studies related to Electrical/Controls Engineering.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Good understanding of PLC, HMI, SCADA development and commissioning software.
• Hands-on experience with electrical commissioning.
• Good understanding of bus systems and electrical drawings.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% to customer sites worldwide.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver the assigned project scope while meeting safety, quality, on-time-delivery and budget requirements.
• On-site commissioning of controls systems including electrical and PLC software commissioning and support system tests and end-user training.
• Produce commissioning documentation such as checklists, test specs, method statements and risk assessments.
• Interpret electrical schematics and input information; ensure CE compliance to Machinery Directive.
• Commission safety-related parts of control systems in line with BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be 44.625 € - 65.450 € at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Main Job Objectives

• Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting\exceeding our safety, quality, On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements.
• To commission controls systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning and to provide support to system test activities and training for the end user
• To produce commissioning documentation including, but not limited to, commissioning checklists, tests specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments for Automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100.
• To interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
• Ensure systems supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.
• Commission Safety Related Part of the Controls system solutions to the regulations and in accordance with BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204 etc.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Studies related to Electrical/Controls Engineering
• Desirable: Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
• Experience in a similar role
• Good understanding of PLC, HMI, SCADA development and commissioning software
• Hands-on experience with electrical commissioning.
• Good understanding of Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings
• Good understanding of bus systems
• Understanding of distributed control systems desirable not essential
• Understanding of automated warehouse desirable not essential

Ability to travel to customer sites, both domestically and internationally.

Full driver’s license to support the travel requirements of the role.

Special Conditions:

• Role will require 70% travel to customer sites within the EMEA European region including travel to other Dematic offices or facilities across Europe in the undertaking of duties.
