Dematic is hiring Controls Commissioning Engineers in Cernusco sul Naviglio, Italy. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering and hands-on experience with commissioning. You will be responsible for delivering projects while meeting safety and quality standards, including significant travel (up to 80%) for on-site commissioning. Tasks and Qualifications

Main Job Objectives

• Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting or exceeding our safety, quality, On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements.
• Commission controls systems on-site, including electrical and PLC software commissioning, and provide support to system test activities and training for the end user.
• Produce commissioning documentation including, but not limited to, commissioning checklists, test specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments for Automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100.
• Interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
• Ensure systems supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.
• Commission safety related parts of the controls system solutions to the regulations and in accordance with BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204 etc.

Qualifications & Experience

• Studies related to Electrical/Controls Engineering.
• Desirable: Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Good understanding of PLC, HMI, SCADA development and commissioning software.
• Hands‑on experience with electrical commissioning.
• Good understanding of Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
• Good understanding of bus systems.
• Understanding of distributed control systems desirable but not essential.
• Understanding of automated warehouse desirable but not essential.
• Ability to travel to customer sites for up to 80% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
• Full driver’s license to support the travel requirements of the role.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering.

Special Conditions

• Role will require 80% travel to customer sites within the EMEA European region including travel to other Dematic offices or facilities across Europe in the undertaking of duties.
