Job summary

Professional Controls Engineering is seeking a qualified Electrical/Controls Engineer to lead on-site commissioning of control systems, including electrical and PLC software. Role requires effective testing, documentation, and training for end users.

Applicants should have a Bachelor or Master in Engineering with hands-on experience in PLC/HMI/SCADA, electrical diagrams, and safety-related system integration. Travel up to 80% across Europe is expected, with a full driving license required.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Electrical/Controls Engineering as a minimum
• Desirable: degree level in a relevant discipline
• Experience in a similar role
• Good understanding of PLC, HMI, SCADA development and commissioning software
• Hands-on experience with electrical commissioning
• Good understanding of electrical and electronic manuals & drawings
• Good understanding of bus systems
• Understanding of distributed control systems desirable not essential
• Understanding of automated warehouse desirable not essential
• Ability to travel to customer sites for up to 80% of the time
• Full driver's license to support travel requirements
• Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering

Responsibilities

• Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting or exceeding safety, quality, On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements
• To commission controls systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning and to provide support to system test activities and training for the end user
• To produce commissioning documentation including, but not limited to, commissioning checklists, tests specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments for Automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100
• To interpret electrical schematics and design input information
• Ensure systems supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive
• Commission Safety Related Part of the Controls system solutions to the regulations and in accordance with BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204 etc.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be 39.000 € - 57.200 € at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Special Conditions:
