Job summary

Dematic invites applications for a Controls Engineer based at our Cernusco sul Naviglio site. The role focuses on electrical and PLC software commissioning for material-handling projects, delivering on-time and within budget. You will generate commissioning docs and support end-user training on-site.

Extensive travel (up to 80%) to customer sites across the EMEA region is required. A degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering is expected, with hands-on commissioning experience and knowledge of CE

Qualifications

• Educational background in Electrical/Controls Engineering.
• Experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA development.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% domestically and internationally.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and design input information.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting safety, quality, On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements.
• To commission controls systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning and to provide support to system test activities and training for the end user.
• To produce commissioning documentation including, but not limited to, commissioning checklists, tests specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments for Automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100.
• To interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
• Ensure systems supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.
• Commission Safety Related Part of the Controls system solutions to the regulations and in accordance with BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204 etc.
