Tecnimont, a MAIRE group company, seeks a Construction Quality Manager to lead QA/QC for major EPC projects in Italy and abroad. The role involves ensuring adherence to QA/QC plans, coordinating with partners and clients, and supervising site inspectors and subcontractors.

Key requirements include a technical engineering degree, 8–10 years in QA/QC on large projects, ISO 9001 knowledge, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Competenze

  • Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline.
  • 8–10 years of experience in QA/QC on EPC, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, or industrial construction projects.
  • Proven QA/QC management on construction sites.
  • Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, inspections, audits and non-conformities.
  • Ability to operate in complex environments including Consortiums and Joint Ventures.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management in multicultural teams.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish; willing to travel internationally.

Mansioni

  • Maintain QA/QC plans and procedures across the project and consortium.
  • Verify NDT, welding and coatings inspection activities on site.
  • Ensure test, inspection reports and quality records are prepared correctly.
  • Review subcontractors’ Quality Systems and procedures.

  • Identify and coordinate corrective actions with Site Manager and home office.

Construction Quality Manager TECNIMONT•Monza, Italy

Tecnimont is looking for a Construction Quality Manager to join “Construction Operations” Function.


Key Responsabilities:

The Construction Quality Manager (QAM) is appointed for major projects or for projects of particular difficulty due to the size or to the complex contractual structure, like Consortium or Joint Venture (where the Company has the leadership role). His/her main responsibility is to keep relations with Partners and Client to ensure that QA/QC Plan and procedures are correctly applied by all members of Consortium (if any), verify the uniformity and coordination among all members and ensure uniformity and coherence.



  • To ensure Site Quality Plan adequacy and application at Site, arranging any reviews, if required;

  • To verify Non Destructive Test, Welding Inspectors activities, Painting & Corrosion Inspectors activities and quality control site team activities;

  • To ensure the proper preparation of the test, inspection reports and books;

  • To review Subcontractors’ site Quality System, Quality Organization and procedures;

  • To check the flow of information and documents, for example Request for Inspections, follow up of the activities with subcontractors, non-conformities;

  • To identify any organizational or procedural defect, analyzing critical points, arranging any corrective action together with the Site Manager and informing the home office pertinent departments;

  • To plan and perform periodical Audit on Subcontractors activities;

  • To prepare his/her own section of the Project Monthly report.


Requirements and Skills:


  • Degree in Engineering or other relevant technical discipline.

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in QA/QC activities within EPC, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, or Industrial Construction projects.

  • Proven experience in managing Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities on construction sites.

  • Solid knowledge of international quality standards and Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO 9001).

  • Experience in welding, NDT, painting/coating inspections, and construction quality processes.

  • Experience in managing subcontractors, inspections, audits, and non-conformity processes.

  • Ability to operate effectively in complex project environments, including Consortiums and Joint Ventures.

  • Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving capabilities in multicultural environments.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish, and willingness to travel internationally and work on construction sites worldwide.


Contract Type and Classification


  • Contract type: Permanent

  • Applicable collective agreement (NCLC): Chemical and Chemical-Pharmaceutical (identification code B011)

  • Job classification level: Middle Manager, consistent with job requirements and applicable Collective Agreement


Compensation

The initial gross annual salary for this position, paid over 14 monthly installments, will be €65.000,00.



  • The compensation package will include the applicable elements of the Collective Agreement as well as benefits provided under company agreements, including flexible benefits and a participation bonus.

  • Any additional variable components and/or benefits, regulated by Standards, Policies and/or company agreements, will be illustrated during the selection process.
