Qualifications

• Be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with a materials focus.
• Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher (or equivalent).
• Have interest in coatings, materials characterization, and hands-on laboratory work.
• Demonstrate analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Curiosity, motivation, and a hands-on approach to laboratory work.

Responsibilities

• Performing hands-on laboratory activities related to coatings and coating technologies.
• Supporting coating application and laboratory testing activities.
• Characterizing coating microstructure using microscopy and other laboratory techniques.
• Evaluating coating performance including mechanical properties and corrosion behavior.
• Analyzing experimental results and preparing clear technical summaries and reports.
• Supporting activities across coating technologies, potentially including thermal spray, plating, and other coatings.
• Organizing test data and contributing to consistent, high-quality laboratory documentation.
