Vodafone Group Plc in Rome is seeking a Telecom Cloud engineer to maintain our Telco Cloud environment. You will troubleshoot incidents, implement corrective actions, monitor health checks, and support new projects with input and solution delivery acceptance.

You’ll interact with customer tech staff and NOC teams to ensure service delivery excellence. The role requires deep knowledge of Telco Cloud systems, Linux/OpenShift/VMware, containerized functions, and automation scripting, with fluency

Formación

• Proficient in Telco Cloud knowledge and cloud technologies (CaaS/PaaS/IaaS).
• Experience with Red Hat Linux, OpenShift and VMware.
• Knowledge of Compute, Storage, SANs and Networking maintenance.
• Experience with containerized functions and Kubernetes cluster management.
• Automation tooling and scripting (Ansible, Git, Python, Grafana).
• Enterprise environment experience for problem solving, troubleshooting and analysis.
• Fluency in English.

• Maintain Telco Cloud critical environment for Vodafone.
• Troubleshoot, fault handling and implement temporary WA and permanent corrective actions; engage with 3rd party support.
• Apply daily routine monitoring and health checks; implement automated incident detection and optimize monitoring.
• Participate in new projects activities, providing input and solution delivery acceptance, implementing or verifying improvements.
• Interact with customer technical staff, NOC engineers and other groups within Service Delivery.

What you’ll do

• * Maintain Telco Cloud critical environment for Vodafone.

• * Apply daily routine monitoring and health checks on the systems. Implement automated incident detection and optimize the system monitoring.
• * Participate in new projects activities, by providing input and solution delivery acceptance, implementing or verifying improvements in processes and work instructions, verifying configuration changes.
• * Interact with customer technical staff, NOC engineers, operation managers and other groups within Service Delivery organization.

Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience [max 5]:

• • General knowhow of Telco Cloud, CaaS/PaaS/IaaS technologies.

Appreciated knowledge of RedHat Linux, Openshift and VMWare.

• • Knowledge of Compute, Storage, SANs, Network and their maintenance.
• • Knowledge of containerized functions, K8s cluster management.
• • Knowledge of automation solutions and scripting/programming language (Ansible, Git, Python, Grafana).
• • Preferred experience working in enterprise environment for problem solving, troubleshooting and analysis processes.

What's in it for you

The starting salary will be at least 29.100€ + PDR. This figure represents the starting point only, and the final offer will be dependent on your individual skills, experience and potential assessed during the process, and the benchmarking information for the position's reward level.
