Job summary

Vodafone is seeking a hands-on Core IP Operations professional in Lombardy to join a dynamic international team. You will work with cutting-edge routing, switching, and automation technologies, interfacing with leading ISPs and OTT players, ensuring service continuity and security.

You will engage in lifecycle management of IP technologies, develop automation tools, and support 24/7 on-call incident handling within a collaborative, high-skill environment focused on mutual support and technical

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IP routing and inter-networking protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routing/switching platforms is required or strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with containerization and automation tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins).
• Understanding of SDN/NFV and network security principles is desirable.
• CCNA-level certifications (or equivalent training) are a plus.

Step into the heart of one of Europe’s largest and most advanced IP transport networks. As part of Vodafone’s Core IP Operations team, you’ll work hands-on with cutting-edge routing, switching, and automation technologies that power the digital world. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic international team, engaging directly with leading ISPs and OTT players. Who you are

Core competencies, knowledge and experience :

• Good knowledge of IP protocols: OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN
• Hands-on experience with Cisco platforms: ASR9K, Nexus 9K, NCS (IOS-XR, IOS-XE, NX-OS)
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins
• Understanding of SDN, NFV, and network security principles
• Cisco CCNA-level certifications (or equivalent training) are a plus
