Job summary

Vodafone in Lombardia, Italy is seeking a senior Core & Services specialist to shape network strategy and drive the roadmap for core platforms. You will coordinate lifecycle management, align NSE planning, and work with delivery and transformation teams across functions.

The role requires strong mobile network experience, collaboration with multinational stakeholders, and a proactive approach to privacy, security, governance, and automation within Core & Services.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science, telecommunications or equivalent.
• Experience in Mobile Network Operator or supplier in telecom or ICT.
• Strong knowledge of mobile networks and core network design.
• Ability to work in virtual, multinational teams.

Responsibilities

• Support Core & Services strategy and network evolution analyses.
• Coordinate lifecycle management across Core & Services with NSE planning and delivery teams.
• Support privacy and security management processes in Core & Services with stakeholders.
• Set up consistent operational governance for interlocks with other governance teams.

What you’ll do

Key accountabilities

• Supporting Core & Services strategy and network evolution analyses, by reinforcing the link between the network evolution plan, the defined strategy and the roadmap for actual execution and delivery of Core & Services projects, programmes and budget.
• Coordinating Life Cycle Management over all the verticals over Core &Services with aligning NSE Network Planning, Demand, Delivery& Transformation teams.
• Coordinating and Supporting Privacy and Security Management processes over Core & Services verticals while aligning related stake holders.
• Setting up a consistent operational governance on how C&S interlock to other governance teams (e.g., budget coordination, reporting) and within C&S
• Helping support the tools and automation processes of Core& Services

Key accountabilities and decision ownership of Role

• Performing and supporting Core & Services network planning and harmonization processes
• Supporting and following up Privacy and Security defined gaps and actions over Core & Services verticals and highlighting/escalating risk/milestone critical issues.
• Working with other Core&Services verticals for providing Life Cycle details of network elements/platforms and checkpoints of the process timely.
• Supporting Core & Services verticals where necessary vendor related issues progress and highlights.

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• University degree in computer science, telecommunications or equivalent
• Work experience in Mobile Network Operator/Supplier in telecommunications or relevant ICT area.
