SGSS S.p.A. in Italy seeks a Payments Operations Analyst to ensure accurate, timely execution of accounting, monitoring and investigation activities in the payments area.

You will provide effective operational support and controls across the end-to-end payment lifecycle. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in economics or related fields and at least 1 year in Securities Services, with strong AML and regulatory awareness.

Mission:

Responsibilities

Mission: Ensure the accurate and timely execution of all accounting, monitoring, and investigation activities within the payments area, providing effective operational support and controls across the end-to-end payment lifecycle.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Monitoring post-payment requests from internal and external clients, reconciling manual outgoing payments, and collaborating with all relevant functions to resolve discrepancies and pending transactions
• Maintaining awareness of Middle Office Cash activities and the Bank's organizational framework to support efficient and compliant operations
• Monitor the post payment requests received from both internal and external clients, providing controls and operational support where required

Required

• Bachelor's degree in economics or related fields
• At least 1 year background in Securities Services, with a strong understanding of industry standards and operational frameworks

Language skills:

• Excellent command of written and spoken Italian (C2 level), with the ability to communicate fluently and accurately in complex professional contexts
• Upper-intermediate English (B2 level)

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

• Knowledge of financial services
• Familiarity with internal systems and digital tools
• Advanced data handling and Excel skills
• Understanding of payment processes, internal tools and SWIFT messaging, as well as compliance with applicable regulations (including AML)
• Knowledge of internal payment tools and SWIFT messages related to cash payments
• Understanding of payment regulations, including AML requirements
• General accounting principles, supporting effective management and resolution of pending transactions
