Job summary

March Networks Corporation in Desio, Italy seeks a seasoned C++ software engineer to join our team. You will help evolve video recording solutions on VSS servers from on-prem to a cloud-based architecture, and work under a local manager with periodic reviews.

You will design, develop, test, and debug C++ applications in Windows and Linux, contribute to edge-to-cloud integration, and migrate embedded Yocto/Linux systems to cloud-native environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer in Linux/Windows C++.
• Experience designing scalable, high-performance embedded or server apps.
• C++ client/server development with C++20, Boost, STL.
• RTOS, IPC, multi-threaded programming.
• Embedded system development, cross platform development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, OpenStack).
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug C++ applications in Windows and Linux.
• Design and implement services and components for edge-to-cloud integration.
• Evolve REST-based service layer decoupled from runtime (embedded vs cloud).
• Migrate Yocto/Linux embedded apps to cloud-native environments.
• Define and implement deployment architectures (container-based and cloud-native).
• Support and resolve customer issues.
• Develop high-level design strategy for key projects.
