Trace One is seeking a Business Consultant to join its Professional Services team in Milan, Italy. The role involves leading customer workshops, analyzing business needs, and ensuring high-quality software solution delivery. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience as a Business Consultant, strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, and proficiency in both Italian and English. This position may require domestic and occasional international travel, and offers a competitive salary along with a vibrant, multicultural work environment.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Consultant delivering software solutions.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of and experience in the use of software design and modeling tools, such as UML.

Mansioni

• Lead customer workshops to gather, analyze, and prioritize requirements.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Solution Architect to produce the Business Blueprint.
• Deliver elements of system design including data migration rules and business rules.
• Contribute to multiple projects, working closely with Project Managers.
• Support development, QA, and UAT phases by defining requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Act as a subject matter expert providing guidance to customers and teams.
• Support Sales and Pre‑Sales activities including RFPs and solution demonstrations.

Context

We are looking for a Business Consultant to join our Professional Services team, acting as a trusted functional and business expert in the delivery of enterprise software solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to translate business needs into effective solutions, ensuring high-quality delivery and long-term product adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead customer workshops to gather, analyze, and prioritize business and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Solution Architect to produce the Business Blueprint and ensure solution design meets business needs, project constraints, and product vision.
• Deliver elements of system design (data migration rules, business rules, prototypes, detailed specifications).
• Contribute to multiple projects in parallel, working closely with Project Managers and cross‑functional teams.
• Support development, QA, and UAT phases by defining requirements, acceptance criteria, and validating deliverables.
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing functional guidance to customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Support Sales and Pre‑Sales activities, including RFPs, RFIs, and solution demonstrations.

Key Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Consultant delivering software solutions.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of and experience in the use of software design and modeling tools (e.g. UML).
• Experience in requirements gathering, solution design, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience in PLM and/or Food & Beverage environments is a strong plus.
• Professional working proficiency in Italian language.
• Proficient in English, both in written and verbal communication.

Domestic travel and occasional international travel may be required.
