Marni in Milano, Italy, is seeking a data analyst to support the retail team by analyzing stores, e-commerce and inventory data to drive commercial decisions and profitability.

You will collect and validate data, build dashboards in Power BI, and deliver clear summaries to management. A statistics/data science background and strong Excel/Power BI skills are essential in a dynamic fashion brand with international reach.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate and consolidate data from stores, e-commerce and internal systems.
  • Analyze performance by geography, channel and store against targets and forecasts.
  • Monitor sell-out, stock exposure and margins to identify risks and actions.
  • Analyze directly operated stores’ performance by market segment.
  • Prepare regular reports, dashboards and presentations on business KPIs.
  • Translate analyses into clear summaries for management and teams.
  • Improve reporting tools and processes with cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as go-to resource for updates and Power BI reporting.

The successful candidate will join the Marni Retail Team and support the analysis of stores’ commercial and financial performance. By collecting and interpreting sales, inventory and margin data, he/she will provide management with insights to support commercial decisions, planning and profitability improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, validate and consolidate data from stores, the e-commerce channel and internal systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Analyze performance on a daily, weekly, monthly and seasonal basis by geographical area, country, channel and store, monitoring KPIs and variances against targets, budget, forecast and previous periods.
  • Monitor sell-out, sell-through, stock exposure and product turnover, identifying risks and opportunities and recommending corrective actions.
  • Analyze directly operated stores’ performance in line with their market segmentation and geographical specificities.
  • Prepare and update regular reports, dashboards and presentations on business performance and key KPIs.
  • Translate complex analyses into clear summaries and actionable recommendations for management and commercial teams.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of reporting tools and processes, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Become the go-to resource for updates and report creation in Power BI.
Requirements
  • Experience in business analysis and retail reporting within the retail sector.
  • A degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of key retail KPIs and the ability to analyze commercial and financial data, including sales, inventory, margins, costs and profit and loss statements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
  • Excellent English.
