Marni, a global fashion brand, is seeking a Controller to strengthen the Controlling Team. The role focuses on General Expenses and supports the planning, reporting and performance analysis across the organization.

You will partner with Retail, Outlet, E‑Commerce, Wholesale and Operations to monitor costs, assess profitability by channel and region, and contribute to strategic evaluations such as store openings.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in Controlling / FP&A.
• Background in fashion / luxury, retail or structured consumer goods environments.
• Advanced Excel and BI tooling experience.

Mansioni

• Support planning, reporting and performance analysis across the organization.
• Monitor cost spending and provide monthly Actual vs Forecast analysis.
• Partner with budget owners and store/region teams to evaluate profitability by channel and region.

As part of the strengthening of our Controlling Team, we are looking for a Controller with main focus on General Expenses and supporting the whole planning process. The successful candidate will join a dynamic Finance team and will work closely with the Business Controller, supporting planning, reporting and performance analysis activities across the organization.
The role combines a strong analytical component with interaction with multiple business functions (Retail, Outlet, E-Commerce, Wholesale, Operations), with the objective of ensuring effective cost monitoring, accurate reporting and greater visibility on the evolution of company expenses.
Acting as a finance business partner, the role works closely with business functions and budget owners supporting commercial and operational teams in evaluating profitability by channel and region, monitoring discount trends, markdown policies, margin evolution and challenging spending trend. It also supports strategic evaluations such as store openings and closures, in close collaboration with the Finance Director and Business Controller.
A key part of the role is to go beyond reporting, performing monthly analysis of Actuals vs Forecast; reviewing and managing accruals; monitoring cost spending and contributing to the preparation of presentations and financial analysis for the senior management.
Finally, the position drives continuous improvement of reporting processes, data flows and analytical tools, contributing to greater accuracy, efficiency and business relevance. It actively participates in system implementation and upgrade projects impacting the controlling function, working across SAP, BI platforms, advanced Excel and Power BI.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in Controlling / FP&A roles
• Background in fashion / luxury, retail or structured consumer goods environments
• Hands‑on experience managing budget and forecast processes in multi‑channel and multi‑country organisation
• Advanced Excel
• SAP and BI platforms (SAP BW, Power BI, Tableau or equivalent)
• Fluent English
