Visa Cash App Racing Bulls F1 Team in Italy seeks a brake ducts design engineer to develop composite brake duct components compliant with packaging and race rules. You will work with senior designers, liaise with internal and external partners, and ensure designs meet vehicle KPIs while staying within regulatory perimeters.

The role emphasizes end-to-end design, collaboration with performance, aerodynamics, and suppliers, plus weekend availability for race support as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in automotive/motorsport design, especially composites and brake cooling.
• Excellent English; Italian is an advantage.
• Knowledge of metallic materials and treatments; composites manufacturing.
• Ability to manage tasks under high pressure and meet deadlines.
• Clear, concise communication and proactive teamwork.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end development of subsystems and components for brake ducts.
• Collaborate with concept, performance, aerodynamics, and FE A teams.
• Analyse design specs and align with vehicle KPIs with partners.
• Create concept and detailed designs with hand calculations and drawings.
• Monitor tech developments to keep design state-of-the-art.
• Prepare documentation for testing and race operations; resolve production issues.
