Job summary

Racing Bulls S.p.A. is seeking a Junior Composite R&D Engineer to develop plybooks, define layups for carbon components, and ensure production readiness for our F1 car parts.

You will create 3D/2D ply layups using NX and Fibersim, specify cure cycles, liaise with Design, Production and Quality Control, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced, international team.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (materials, mechanical, aerospace, or aeronautical).
• Basic knowledge of plybooks preparation software and CAD tools (Siemens NX).
• Understanding of composite design and manufacturing with prepregs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and release plybooks for production and track operations.

We are looking for a brilliantJunior Composite R&D Engineer. In this role you will beresponsible for releasing plybooks, lamination digital information and repair scheme of the assigned car parts towards production and track operations. You will define car part lay-up for carbon component manufacturing in compliance with interna rules, procedures and processes.

Job Description

Composite Plybooks

Ensure a strong communication flow regarding design, materials, number and orientation of plies, inserts, cores, cure cycles, and manufacturing processes.

Develop 3D and 2D ply layups using NX CAD and its composite design tools, including Fibersim, Laminate Tools, and Composite Design.

Define the appropriate cure cycles and debulking procedures for the production of automotive components, in collaboration with the R&D Composite Technology Group.

Prepare, compile, and release plybooks for production.

Liaise effectively with internal departments—including Design, Production, and Quality Control—as well as external suppliers.

Complete assigned tasks and provide timely feedback on work status, progress, and milestone achievement whenever required.

Qualifications

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering.

Basic knowledge of software tools used to prepare and compile plybooks, such as CorelDRAW.

Basic knowledge of software tools used for ply draping and layup simulation, preferably Fibersim and Laminate Tools.

Basic knowledge of CAD systems, preferably Siemens NX.

Good understanding of composite design and manufacturing processes, particularly those involving prepreg materials.

Proactive and innovative mindset.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Strong work ethic and a hands‑on approach.

Good communication skills in both Italian and English.
