Job summary

SITA in Italy is seeking a Bid Manager based in Truccazzano to lead end-to-end bid and proposal activities for unsolicited, RFP/RFQ, and RFIs, coordinating virtual teams and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.

You will validate opportunities, develop win strategies, manage risks, liaise with account managers, and support pre-contract activities with customers, while aligning with CCM practices and corporate guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a numerate, business or languages discipline or significant relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience within commercial industry, ideally IT, telecoms, air transport or managed services provision as Bid Manager or equivalent role.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience within the field of bids & proposals - in purchasing and/or sales - including exposure to the vendor side.
• Must have 2 years of Proposal Management, Bid Management experience.
• Relevant understanding of the airport and/or airline operation is an advantage.
• Experience in developing successful relationships at Senior Manager level.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives concurrently
• Clear understanding of proposal management processes including pre-proposal planning, strategy development and storyboarding, strategic proposal writing skills.
• Knowledgeable on MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc)
• Willingness to work in a dynamic, cross-functional and cross-culture team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end bid/proposal activities, including virtual team management and content development.
• Validate qualification of opportunities and monitor status at all bid stages.
• Develop overall bid project plans and manage risk/contingency.
• Coordinate activities of proposal center staff and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Provide clear storytelling and critique of content produced by contributors.
• Lead proposal reviews and red-team sessions to ensure quality.
• Support Sales in pre-contract discussions and partnerships.
