Backend Engineer (Spring Security)

Job summary

DB Global Technology, Deutsche Bank's technology center in Central and Eastern Europe, Bucharest, is seeking a Backend Engineer with hands-on Spring Security experience. You will collaborate with international teams to build and maintain features, write tests, and ensure performance and security across applications and systems.

The role requires strong Java/Spring expertise, deep JPA/Hibernate knowledge, and experience with RESTful API design in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in enterprise software development.
• Extensive Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud, ...) experience.
• Spring Security hands on experience.
• Deep JPA & Hibernate expertise with strong SQL knowledge.
• Proven hands-on experience with GCP (Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, etc.)
• Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Work together with our highly skilled international development teams to build and maintain features of our Applications and Systems
• Ensure proper performance and quality of the written code and continuously participate in code reviews
• Write unit tests for robustness, edge cases and general reliability
• Write code in compliance with our coding standards and security mechanisms
• Continuously collaborate with cross-functional teams, product owners, designers and QA team in an agile environment
• Participate in developer guilds and enjoy learning/sharing knowledge with the team
• Take on the role of a technical forward thinker and take part in the support and training of junior developer
