EDAG Group in Bologna seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead cross-functional teams across Interior, Exterior, and Body & Closures design, development and validation. You will define scopes, timelines and deliverables, coordinating Design, Engineering, Manufacturing and suppliers to meet program targets.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and assembly technologies, with CAD (CATIA) and PLM experience, and proven project management and leadership skills.

This will make you grow:

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams for the design, development, and validation activities in one of the following areas: Interior / Exterior / Body & Closures.
• Define project scope, timing, and deliverables in alignment with program objectives.
• Monitor and control project progress, ensuring adherence to cost, quality, and timing targets.
• Act as the main interface between Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Manage implementation of risk assessment and mitigation plans for technical and timing issues.
• Lead technical reviews and decision-making processes throughout development phases.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal specifications.

And this is how you‘ll take us forward:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in automotive product development, with a focus on Interiors /Exteriors or Body & Closures.
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly technologies.
• Familiarity with CAD tools (CATIA) and PLM systems.
• Experience in project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
• Experience in luxury brands and/or supercars development is very welcome.
• Availability for short business travels abroad.

Total compensation:

• Contract type: Permanent
• Gross annual salary (RAL): €35.000– €42.000 (determined on the basis of objective, neutral, and verifiable criteria)
• Smart working: individual remote working agreements
• Working hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) with flexibility
