Job summary

Sky Systems, Inc. (SkySys) is seeking an Automation System Engineer to support GMP manufacturing and automation systems. You will troubleshoot PLC/SCADA, manage IT/OT infrastructure, and drive cybersecurity, system qualification, disaster recovery, and upgrades.

The role requires hands-on automation hardware expertise, Siemens/MES/OSI-PI knowledge, and strong IT skills, with onsite Campania, Italy. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in GMP manufacturing and automation environments.
• Knowledge of Siemens, MES, OSI-PI, or general process control.
• Hands-on PLC/SCADA, automation hardware and industrial networking experience.
• IT Security/Cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with IT backup and Disaster Recovery.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory knowledge.
• Basic database administration knowledge.
• Strong IT/OT infrastructure understanding.
• Ability to assess the criticality of application issues and prioritize accordingly.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, coordination and problem‑solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking an Automation System Engineer to join a managed services team supporting and improving GMP manufacturing and automation systems. The role will focus on automation system support, PLC/SCADA troubleshooting, IT/OT infrastructure, cybersecurity, system qualification, disaster recovery, and the implementation of new and upgraded automation systems.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong Automation experience within a GMP environment.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens, MES, OSI-PI, and/or General Process Control.
• Hands-on knowledge of PLC/SCADA, automation hardware, and industrial networking.
• IT Security/Cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with IT backup and Disaster Recovery.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server and Windows operating systems, including Active Directory.
