Schneider Electric is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Stezzano, Italy. This role involves managing the end-to-end delivery of complex international projects related to industrial control systems. You will oversee project planning, execution, and performance while ensuring compliance with customer expectations.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering and 8-10 years of project management experience in industrial automation. Proficiency in both Italian and English is required, along with leadership capabilities in diverse environments.

Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of complex international projects related to industrial control systems (DCS, ESD, PLC, SCADA, MES). This role ensures the successful delivery of projects in terms of scope, schedule, cost, and quality, while meeting customer expectations and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex international projects from kick-off through to final delivery (engineering, procurement, commissioning)
• Plan, monitor, and control project scope, schedule, costs, risks, and quality
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, software, hardware, commissioning, supply chain)
• Act as the primary point of contact for international clients, stakeholders, and partners
• Oversee the design and implementation of control systems (DCS, ESD, PLC, SCADA)
• Ensure compliance with technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements
• Manage change orders, claims, and contractual aspects of projects
• Organize and lead project review meetings (internal and customer-facing)
• Monitor project KPIs and provide regular reporting to senior management
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
• Coordinate FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test)
• Supervise site activities, commissioning, and system start-up

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related fields)
• Project Management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) – preferred

Experience

• 8–10+ years of experience in project management within industrial automation
• Proven track record in managing international projects
• Solid technical background in control systems (DCS, ESD, PLC, SCADA)
• Experience with EPC or similar contract structures – preferred

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with international standards (IEC, ISA, etc.)
