Schneider Electric in Tuscany seeks a Service Engineer to join our Process Automation team, providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for automation systems at critical customer sites with DCS and Safety solutions. You will work on brownfield projects and collaborate with cross-regional teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Automation/CS/Electrical, 3–4 years’ experience, and willingness to travel up to 75%.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Automation/Computer Science/Electrical field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–4 years of experience in the field.
• Base knowledge of DCSs, PLCs, SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems administration.
• Familiarity with Ethernet networks and principles of Cybersecurity.
• Italian language preferred; non-Italian speakers should be fluent in English.
• Enjoy learning new things as technology evolves.
• Problem-solving, even under time-pressure.
• Ability to work independently on site and in a team.
• Collaboration with peers and Project Managers to deliver results.
• Technical writing for service activities, reports, logs, and documentation.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 75%.

Mansioni

• Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of process automation systems (controllers, HMI, network, workstations).
• Conduct system testing and participate in system integration activities.
• Develop logics & HMI screens for brownfield projects and system setup in staging areas.

We are seeking a Service Engineer to join our Process Automation team. As a Service Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance services for our Process Automation systems at critical customer sites, mostly with DCS and Safety solutions. This role includes both regular maintenance and brownfield projects with a wide technology spectrum. You will work closely with our clients to ensure the smooth operation and optimization of their automation systems.

What will you do?

• Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of process automation systems (including: controllers, HMI, network, workstations).
• Conduct system testing and participate in system integration activities.
• As a team member, develop logics & HMI screens for brownfield projects, system setup in staging areas.
• Provide technical support to customers, including diagnosing and resolving system issues.

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?

• Language: Italian language is preferred for our customers. Non-italian speakers need to be fluent in English and learn it in a short period to be succesfull.
