G2 Recruitment seeks an experienced automation engineer to support hydrogen, oil & gas, and petrochemical projects across Italy, based in Milan.

You will design, test and integrate automated systems from prototype through production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions. This permanent role offers a competitive salary and a hybrid pattern with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.

Competenze

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, or C++, Python; strong base knowledge of control systems and industrial automation tools.
• Experience with software testing, automation management, scripting and automation frameworks.
• 4+ years of experience with automation in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Hydrogen sectors.
• Bachelor's degree in automation, mechanical/electrical engineering or relevant field.

Mansioni

• Create automated systems and key pieces of machinery from design to prototype stage.
• Lead the integration of new automation technology.
• Simulate, program and test automated machinery to ensure correct function.
• Provide ongoing maintenance to ensure continuity of operations.
• Oversee quality processes for automated systems on compressors & electrolysers.
