Hitachi Energy Italy S.p.A. is seeking an Application Engineer for eMobility in Milan. You will work with customers, sales, tendering, and product teams to design optimized charging solutions for public and commercial transport.

The role requires strong power systems expertise, 5+ years in related fields, and travel readiness. English proficiency is essential, with additional European languages advantageous.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or master's in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on power systems or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years in application engineering and power-systems related roles.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC distribution, power conversion, transformers and switchgear.
• Experience translating customer requirements into system architectures and offers.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings and project support.
• Fluent written and spoken English; other European languages are a plus.

Mansioni

• Engage with customers early to understand needs, charging strategies, and site constraints.
• Develop high-level technical concepts for charging infrastructure and interfaces.
• Translate requirements into optimized Hitachi Energy solutions for tenders and projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams on power-system studies, grid connection, and installation concepts.
• Prepare technical proposals, diagrams, design criteria, and customer materials.
• Support post-award refinement to preserve design intent and opportunities for upsell.
• Share insights with Product Management to improve offerings and guidelines.
• Contribute to workshops, training, and knowledge sharing across locations.
