Wlgroup in Sicily seeks an operational video and audio support specialist to maintain end-to-end AV services for exercises and missions. You will configure, deploy and recover equipment, manage video teleconferencing sessions, and ensure secure voice equipment operates across networks.

The role requires hands-on IT experience, ability to work on site, willingness to extended hours when needed, and clear documentation of all work.

Competenze

• At least two years hands-on designing, implementing and maintaining core network architecture for large organisations.
• Practical experience with video teleconferencing technologies.
• A sound practical understanding of voice over IP and of IP addressing.
• Comfortable logging and tracking your own work in a service-desk tool.
• Comfort in a structured environment - procedures, processes, checklists and instructions.
• A basic grasp of IT security practice: password handling, access control, safe use of devices.
• The ability to follow and improve documented procedures, and to prioritise when several things break at once.
• Good communication with users and colleagues, and accurate record-keeping.
• Willingness to work on site and, when a project or transition needs it, for extended hours.
• Fluent professional English, around CEFR B2 to C1.

When a command conference starts, the video either works or it does not, and someone has already made sure it does. That is this role. You would sit inside the operational support team of a communications unit in Sicily, looking after audio and video services end to end: setting them up, configuring them, keeping them ready, and putting them back together after an exercise.

The work is practical and varied - senior-level video teleconferencing one day, voice equipment and line patching the next, and the preparation, deployment and recovery of kit around exercises and operational activity throughout.
