Job summary

Seed to Skin Tuscany is seeking a highly organized Assistant Production Manager to support daily operations in our production laboratory in Tuscany. You will work closely with the Production Manager to ensure smooth, efficient processes and top-quality output.

You will coordinate workflows, monitor quality, and maintain documentation while ensuring lab safety and regulatory compliance. Fluency in English and a proactive, detail‑oriented mindset are essential.

• Experience coordinating teams in a lab, production, or manufacturing setting within beauty/cosmetics/pharma industries.
• Solid understanding of production processes, quality standards, and laboratory procedures.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support the Production Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations of Seed to Skin Tuscany laboratories to ensure efficient production and high-quality outputs.
• Help plan and coordinate production activities, ensuring priorities, timelines, resources, and volumes are well managed.
• Assist in supervising the production team, allocating tasks and organizing workflow while adhering to lab procedures.
• Monitor production processes for quality, consistency, compliance, and proper handling of raw materials and packaging.
• Contribute to implementing and maintaining laboratory procedures, protocols, and quality standards per regulations and internal requirements.
• Maintain production records, batch documentation, and quality checks with accurate lab documentation.
• Assist in investigating production issues and quality deviations, escalating to the Production Manager when needed.
• Promote high organization, hygiene, safety, and cleanliness across the laboratories.
• Support training and development of lab staff, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

We are looking for a highly organized and hands-on Assistant Production Manager to support the daily operations of the Seed to Skin Tuscany production laboratory. Working closely with the Production Manager, you will contribute to ensuring a smooth, efficient, and high-quality production process, coordinating activities across the laboratory while maintaining the highest standards of quality, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Support the Production Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Seed to Skin laboratories, ensuring efficient production and continuously optimising workflows, processes, and resources in line with established standards.
• Support the planning and coordination of production activities, ensuring that priorities, timelines, resources, and production volumes are properly managed.
• Assist in supervising the production team, supporting daily task allocation, workflow organisation, and adherence to laboratory procedures.
• Monitor production processes, ensuring quality, consistency, compliance, and proper management of raw materials and packaging.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of laboratory procedures, protocols, and quality standards in line with applicable regulations and internal requirements.
• Support batch documentation, production records, quality checks, and the accurate maintenance of laboratory documentation.
• Support the investigation and resolution of production issues, deviations, and quality-related matters, escalating relevant topics to the Production Manager when required.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of organisation, hygiene, safety, and cleanliness across the laboratories.
• Contribute to the training and development of laboratory team members, promoting a culture of quality, precision, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Who you are:

• Previous experience in coordinating or supervising teams in a laboratory, production, or manufacturing environment within the beauty, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or related industries.
• Solid understanding of production processes, quality standards, and laboratory procedures.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively across different functions and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment where processes and priorities may evolve.
• Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and ownership.
