Cumming Group cerca un Assistant Commercial Manager per il team di Milano, con responsabilità di supporto alla gestione commerciale e alla delivery di progetti data centre complessi in Italia ed Europa.

Competenze

• Laurea in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction, Engineering o disciplina correlata.
• 3-7 anni di esperienza in quantity surveying, cost consultancy, gestione commerciale o disciplina correlata.
• MRICS, AssocRICS o avanzamento verso chartered preferiti.
• Buona comprensione di percorsi di procurement e principi di amministrazione contrattuale.
• Familiarità con NEC, JCT o contratti simili.
• Esperienza in progetti complessi di costruzione, infrastrutture, MEP o mission-critical è vantaggiosa.
• Forti capacità numeriche e analitiche con attenzione ai dettagli.
• Comprensione del rischio commerciale, gestione dei cambiamenti e controllo dei costi.
• Ottima comunicazione e gestione degli stakeholder.
• Capacità di gestire molte priorità in un ambiente di progetto rapido.
• Competenza avanzata in Excel e strumenti di cost management.

Mansioni

• Supportare la consegna di servizi commerciali e gestione dei costi su più progetti data centre.
• Assistere nella preparazione e revisione di piani di costo, stime, budget e benchmarking.
• Supportare attività di approvvigionamento, inclusa preparazione gare e analisi offerte.
• Assistere nell’amministrazione dei contratti, inclusi NEC e JCT.
• Revisionare richieste di pagamento, varianti e presentazioni commerciali.
• Preparare report sui costi, previsioni e aggiornamenti finanziari per stakeholder.
• Supportare monitoraggio del rischio commerciale e opportunità di ottimizzazione costi.
• Supportare attività di value engineering e analisi costo ciclo di vita.
• Contributo a budget, previsioni e controllo finanziario.
• Partecipare a riunioni con clienti/consulenti/appaltatori, fornendo supporto commerciale.
• Supportare preparazione di proposte, pianificazione risorse e reporting delle prestazioni.
• Mentorare membri junior del team e mantenere registri di progetto.

About the Role

As an Assistant Commercial Manager in our Milan team, you will support the commercial management and cost consultancy delivery of complex, high-value data centre projects across Italy and Europe. Working alongside senior commercial and project leaders, you will be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, from feasibility and procurement through to construction, commissioning and close-out.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your commercial, contractual and client-facing skills within the rapidly expanding data centre sector while working on some of Europe's most significant digital infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of commercial and cost management services across multiple data centre projects.
• Assist with the preparation and review of cost plans, estimates, budgets and benchmarking exercises.
• Support procurement activities, including tender preparation, tender analysis and recommendation reports.
• Assist in the administration of contracts, including NEC and JCT forms where applicable.
• Review contractor applications, variations, change orders and commercial submissions.
• Prepare regular cost reports, forecasts, cashflow reports and financial updates for project stakeholders.
• Support project teams in monitoring commercial risk and identifying opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Assist with value engineering exercises and life cycle cost analysis.
• Contribute to budget management, forecasting and financial control processes.
• Participate in client, consultant and contractor meetings, providing commercial support and reporting.
• Support the preparation of fee proposals, resource planning and project performance reporting.
• Mentor and assist junior team members where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with internal governance procedures.

What You Bring

• Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 3-7 years' experience in quantity surveying, cost consultancy, commercial management or a related discipline.
• Professional Accreditation: MRICS, AssocRICS, or working towards chartered status preferred.
• Good understanding of construction procurement routes and contract administration principles.
• Familiarity with NEC, JCT or similar forms of contract.
• Experience working on complex construction, infrastructure, industrial, MEP or mission-critical projects is advantageous.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Understanding of commercial risk, change management and cost control processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other cost management tools.
