Job summary

WorkWave, a leading cloud software provider, seeks an AI Quality Governance Engineer to blend automation with quality governance. You will build scalable automation, implement CI/CD gates, and apply AI tooling to test and validate features across our SaaS platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in Verona and beyond, ensuring high coverage and reliable releases while measuring health via DORA metrics and risk scoring. Fluency in English and Italian is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software quality engineering with a focus on automation.
• Experience with modern test frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, or RestAssured for APIs).
• Proficiency with GitHub Actions YAML workflows.
• AI-first mindset using Claude or GitHub Copilot to accelerate tests, with judgment to detect thin coverage.
• Working knowledge of DORA quality metrics (Change Failure Rate, MTTR, Escape Rate).

Responsibilities

• Automation & CI/CD (≈40%): Write and maintain end-to-end and API automation using Playwright, UnifiedDriver, and VBD frameworks. Configure automated gates in GitHub Actions to block regressions without slowing deployment.
• AI Tooling & Innovation (≈40%): Pair with AI assistants (Claude, GitHub Copilot) to draft test suites, design reusable prompt templates, and build internal tools like the Quality Radar risk-prediction model.
• Governance & Standards (≈20%): Define quality gates across SDLC checkpoints, audit contractor deliverables, monitor DORA metrics, and partner with Engineering Managers during sprint planning to address testability gaps.
