Job summary

WorkWave is seeking an AI Quality Governance Engineer to build scalable automated systems and define quality gates across internal and vendor teams. You will harness AI tools to draft tests and ensure full coverage, while maintaining CI/CD quality gates and risk models.

The role emphasizes hands-on automation with Playwright, GitHub Actions, and AI-first tooling, with a focus on SDLC governance and offshore collaboration. Verona-based, full-time position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software quality engineering with automation.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language: TS/JS, C#, Python or Java.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, or RestAssured.
• Experience reading and configuring GitHub Actions YAML workflows.
• AI-First mindset; using Claude or Copilot to accelerate test writing with judgment.
• Knowledge of DORA metrics: Change Failure Rate, MTTR, Escape Rate.

Responsibilities

• Automation & CI/CD (≈40%): write and maintain end-to-end and API automation using Playwright, UnifiedDriver, and GitHub Actions.
• AI Tooling & Innovation (≈40%): pair with AI assistants to draft test suites, templates, and risk-prediction tools.
• Governance & Standards (≈20%): define quality gates across SDLC, audit contractor deliverables, monitor metrics.
