Job summary

WorkWave, a leading cloud-based software provider for service businesses, seeks an AI Quality Governance Engineer to automate testing and governance for reliable AI-enhanced software delivery.

You will build scalable automation, configure GitHub Actions quality gates, and develop AI utilities such as test skeleton generators and auto-triage pipelines while collaborating with engineering managers on testability gaps.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software quality engineering with automation focus.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (TypeScript/JavaScript/C#/Python/Java).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium or RestAssured.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable automated systems and write clean test code.
• Configure CI/CD quality gates in GitHub Actions to prevent regressions.
• Develop AI utilities such as test skeleton generators, risk scoring models and auto-triage pipelines.
• Define done criteria, enforce release standards and track metrics (change failure rate, defect escape rate, day-one AI fluency).
• Pair with AI assistants (Claude, GitHub Copilot) to draft test suites and design reusable prompt templates.
• Collaborate with engineering managers to address testability gaps during sprint planning.

key responsibilities

• build scalable automated systems and write clean test code.

candidate profile

• minimum 3years experience in software quality engineering with automation focus.
• proficiency in at least one modern language (typescript, javascript, c#, python, java).
• hands‑on experience with playwright, selenium or restassured.
• experience configuring github actions yaml workflows.
• daily use of ai tools (claude, github copilot) for test creation.
• knowledge of dora metrics (change failure rate, mttr, escape rate).
• istqb certification and ai/tae experience are a plus.
• professional english; italian for local collaboration.

compensation and benefits

gross annual salary €38000 – €48000 (13 installments).
