Jobgether, on behalf of a partner, seeks an AI Industry Associate/Lead based in Italy to shape responsible AI policy and industry strategy. The role blends technology, policy, and international collaboration, with a strong emphasis on human-centered AI and safety.

You will monitor developments, engage policymakers across Europe and other regions, and translate complex analyses into actionable recommendations. This is a fully remote opportunity with broad seniority scope.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a technology strategist in AI policy or related field.
• Sufficient technical fluency to discuss AI capabilities and verification with experts.
• Independent strategic judgment with evidence-based positions on development paths.
• Experience engaging with policymakers in international policy settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for policy-ready analyses.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI industry strategy and credible alternatives to maximally autonomous AI.
• Monitor industry developments including smaller models, open-source AI, and robotics.
• Analyze AI capabilities, safety, evaluation and verification methods.
• Engage policymakers and international stakeholders across Europe, Brazil, and Canada.
• Translate strategy into actionable policy recommendations for governments.
• Build coalitions with industry, researchers, policymakers, and partners.
• Communicate complex concepts in expert and high-level forums.
