Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Senior Manager, Application Security based in Italy for a fully remote technology environment. You will lead the development of an application security function, combining hands-on security with leadership, strategic planning, and cross‑functional collaboration to embed secure development practices across engineering teams.

You will manage vulnerability programs, security reviews, AI‑first strategies, and compliance alignment while guiding IT

Qualifications

• 7+ years of security experience with hands-on application security
• Experience building or maturing an application security program
• Strong knowledge of secure software design and OWASP principles
• Ability to read and understand application code and collaborate with engineers
• 2+ years of people management experience
• Experience with AI-assisted security tools and workflows
• Ability to communicate risk and tradeoffs to senior leaders and nontechnical stakeholders
• Collaborative leadership style across engineering and business functions

Responsibilities

• Define and own the application security roadmap and vulnerability management
• Conduct hands-on security reviews and triage vulnerabilities
• Embed secure development practices across the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines
• Design an AI-first application security strategy and validate AI tools
• Oversee third-party security assessments and vendor security
• Align application security with IT operations and compliance
• Represent security posture to engineering leadership, customers, and auditors
• Own security questionnaires and due diligence processes
