Job summary

TeamSystem is seeking an experienced Platform/Backend Engineer to build core AI Platform services and MCP infrastructure in a fast-paced, growth-focused setting.

You will design scalable systems, collaborate with AI engineers and product teams, and help enable AI-powered products across TeamSystem in Milan or Padua. English proficiency (B2) is required and hybrid office attendance is possible.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years in platform/cloud/backend engineering or similar roles.
• Strong software engineering and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cloud infrastructures, containers, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with Python backend development (we use FastAPI).
• Interest in AI technologies and building platforms enabling AI adoption at scale.
• Good understanding of software architecture and scalable system design.
• Proficiency in English (B2 level).
• Experience with LLM-based applications, AI agents, or MCP servers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop core services of the AI Platform, including self-service access to LLM gateways, MCP infrastructure, and AI agent lifecycle management.
• Design and build platform capabilities to help product teams deploy AI-powered applications at scale.
• Drive platform evolution through user feedback, telemetry, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Work with AI Engineers, Product Teams, and Business Units to enable next-gen AI-powered products.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and shape future platform direction.
