Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Test Engineer for the Helicopters Division in the IT - Varese area. You will perform end-to-end test activities for dynamic, structural, and airframe components, ensuring campaigns meet requirements and certification needs.

You will review test requirements, develop test rigs, plan campaigns, and prepare reports while coordinating with multiple engineering teams across the program. English proficiency and travel flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (aeronautical/aerospace/mechanical/electronic preferred).
• Knowledge of test engineering principles and lab processes.
• Understanding of product lifecycle and development processes.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with data analysis, data visualization and coding tools is beneficial.
• Good English proficiency; willing to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end test engineering for dynamic, structural and airframe components and subsystems.
• Review and verify test requirements for feasibility and certification needs.
• Support test rigs, benches and setups, coordinating with laboratories and technical disciplines.
• Plan and execute test activities ensuring compliance with processes, quality, safety and schedules.
• Prepare technical reports and evidence packages with traceability for stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Technical Disciplines, Aircraft System Integration, Product Engineering, and other teams.
