Leonardo is seeking an Avionic Systems Engineer in the IT - Varese, Cascina Costa area. The role covers systems engineering for avionic suites, requirements capture, interface analysis, and certification support within the Engineering Directorate.

The candidate will interact with software, airframe, and production teams, manage suppliers, and contribute to bid activities. A degree in a relevant field and strong English are required.

• Must hold a degree in a relevant engineering field (aeronautical, electrical, electronic, or automation).
• Good command of English, written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

Mansioni

• Capture, allocate, derive, validate and verify Avionics system requirements from customer needs and certification criteria.
• Define electro-avionics design and integration via functional schematics and interface control documents.
• Develop system-level requirements for software components.
• Lead or support design reviews and related lifecycle milestones.
• Prepare equipment specifications and monitor supplier development and qualification.
• Execute bench and aircraft test procedures; participate in trials.
• Prepare certification documentation for Avionics Systems.
• Provide technical management of external suppliers and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Support production and customer service in troubleshooting and test execution.
• Liaise with customers and internal teams; assist bids for future programs.
