Job summary

OHB-Italia S.p.A. is seeking a Procurement / Subcontractor Manager to oversee end-to-end lifecycle of subcontracted equipment and subsystems.

The position involves managing supplier relationships across Milano, Roma and Torino, from RFQs to delivery, with emphasis on contract negotiation and adherence to program targets. You will collaborate with Engineering, MAIT and Quality to ensure on-time and on-cost delivery, while identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing risks across multiple

Qualifications

• Master's degree in aerospace, electronics, telecommunications, management or comparable field.
• 3–5 years' experience in procurement, subcontracting or project supply chain, preferably in space/aerospace/defence.
• Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel to suppliers in Europe and abroad.
• Familiarity with ESA/ECSS and/or MIL-STD standards and export controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interface with suppliers from bid phase to final delivery, serving as main contact for subcontractors.
• Lead end-to-end subcontracting: RFQs, supplier selection, contract negotiation, POs, expediting, delivery and acceptance.
• Coordinate data packages and statements of work for procured items.
• Support contract officer on programmatic aspects of contracts.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractor proposals evaluation based on defined criteria.
• Monitor on-time, on-cost and on-quality delivery; address issues with Engineering, MAIT and Quality.
• Identify cost reductions and improvement opportunities; manage subcontractor risks.
• Chair meetings and reviews and coordinate multi-project procurement activities.
• Manage contract changes and negotiations; contribute to supplier evaluation and lessons learned.
