GE Aerospace Avio Aero, Apulia Repair Development Center in Bari, seeks an experienced Design Engineer to own the CAD/CAM cycle for advanced repair solutions in aerospace engines. You will manage geometry acquisition, CAM toolpaths, post-processing, and documentation, collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, and suppliers to drive quality and efficiency.

We value a Master’s in Mechanical/Aerospace, strong ownership, and fluency in Italian and English.

Qualifications

• Master’s-degree required in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
• Fluent Italian and English required.
• Ability to take technical ownership and manage programs.
• Willingness to work in a robotics-assisted manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire CAD/CAM cycle from geometry acquisition to post deposition checks.
• Define tooling concepts and detailed procurement designs.
• Program robot toolpaths using CAM software for ABB and KUKA.
• Support operators and develop innovative CAM methods for advanced repairs.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and suppliers to implement improvements.
• Produce technical documents and ensure calibration to quality standards.
