Job summary

BizAway S.r.l. in Milan, Italy, is seeking a driven Accounting Intern (m/w/d) to join the Accounting Team and support the full monthly closing cycle in a fast-growing, international environment.

You will work closely with seasoned accountants on general accounting activities, fixed assets, reconciliations, month-end closing, audits, VAT filings, and reporting while developing hands-on experience and a clear path for professional growth in a multicultural, hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Business Administration; internship OK.
• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and Italian GAAP.
• Previous internship or academic project in accounting or finance welcomed.
• Proficiency with Excel; familiarity with NetSuite or ERP systems is a plus.
• Accurate with deadlines, proactive and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day general accounting activities.
• Maintain fixed assets register and reconcile with general ledger.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations; investigate open items.
• Assist month‑end closing: accruals, prepayments, closing schedules.
• Prepare documentation for external auditors and support tax filings.
• Assist accounts payable/receivable and document accounting processes.
