Job summary

SYNERGY CONSTRUCT is seeking a full-time Accountant for our Verona project to manage accounts in compliance with Italian regulations. You will work with external advisors, verify invoices, prepare invoices and cash flow estimates, and produce monthly financial reports for headquarters in Hungary.

The ideal candidate has a university degree in Finance or CPA qualification, at least 5 years of experience in international construction projects, and fluent Italian and English.

Qualifications

• University degree (BS/MS) in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields or Certified Public Accountant qualification.
• Minimum 5 years experience preferably on international industrial/construction projects.
• Self oriented, disciplined, and well organized.
• Excellent knowledge of SAP software.
• Fluent in Italian and English (both written and spoken).
• Solid analytical and mathematical skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Managing the accounts of related construction project in accordance with Italian GAAP Principi Contabili OIC to ensure local compliance.
• Working closely with external advisors (fellow accountants, tax experts and payroll specialists).
• Verifying invoices and invoice statements.
• Performing accounting duties throughout the project, such as preparing invoices, estimating cash flow, and signing off on purchase orders.
• Analyzing all transactions and incorporating unforeseen costs into the budget.
• Keeping a record of all project finances for auditing and tax purposes.
• Preparing cost analyses by interpreting project financial data and information.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers and performing regular reconciliations.
• Performing regular reconciliations of all vendor and GL accounts.
• Preparing and submitting monthly reports to the headquarters in Hungary.
