Job summary

Supernova Group in Milan, Lombardy, is seeking an Accountant (m/f/d) for a full-time role. You will manage bank transactions, postings for AR/AP, invoices, and assist monthly closes.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Economics/Finance, has 2–4 years in accounting, strong Italian VAT knowledge and Excel, and is fluent in Italian and English. The position offers growth and collaboration with the Head of Finance Italy.

Qualifications

• Degree in Economics, Finance or similar.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience.
• Solid knowledge of Italian accounting and VAT principles.
• Proficient Excel skills.
• Hands-on, precise and willing to learn.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Native or fluent Italian and strong English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage bank transactions and cash reconciliations.
• Post and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Verify and book incoming and outgoing invoices.
• Monitor invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Support monthly closing activities with external advisors.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers and advisors on accounting matters.
• Assist in setting up and improving accounting processes.
• Gradually take responsibility over selected accounting areas.

• Management of bank transactions and cash reconciliations
• Posting and reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Verification and booking of incoming and outgoing invoices
• Monitoring and follow-up of invoice discrepancies and payment issues
• Supporting monthly closing activities in coordination with external accounting and tax advisors
• Managing interactions with suppliers, customers, and external advisors on accounting matters
• Supporting the setup and improvement of accounting and administrative processes
• Gradual assumption of responsibility over selected accounting areas

Requirements

• Degree in Economics, Finance or similar
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting (company or accounting firm)
• Solid knowledge of Italian accounting and VAT principles
• Good Excel skills
• Hands-on, precise and willing to learn
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Native or fluent Italian and a strong command of English
