Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a seasoned Collections Manager to lead the team in Jaipur, ensuring timely invoicing and effective debt collection. You will set targets, develop strategies to improve collections, and enforce policies aligned with regulations.

You will coach staff, monitor performance, and report on collections metrics, while negotiating with customers and ensuring deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 9–12 years’ experience as a collections manager.
• Experience leading and mentoring a collections team.
• Strong leadership and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of staff and ensuring timely invoicing to customers.
• Set payment collection goals for the department.
• Develop and implement strategy to improve collection of outstanding credit.
• Implement collection policies to avoid excessive outstanding credit.
• Ensure policy on recoveries aligns with regulations.
• Set deadlines for invoicing and payment collection.

• Setting payment collection goals and targets for the department.
• Creating and implementing a strategy to improve the collection of outstanding credit.
• Implementing collection policies and procedures to avoid excessive outstanding credit.
• Ensuring that the company policy on recoveries is followed and that it is in line with state and federal regulations.
• Implementing deadlines for invoicing and payment collection.
• Negotiating with customers in cases when non-payment occurs.
• Preparing monthly feedback reports on payment collections.
• Remaining informed of any legislative procedural training regarding debt collection.
• Training and mentoring of staff members in the collections department.
