Job summary

Infosys in Chennai is seeking a Workday Configuration & Maintenance specialist to configure, test, and deploy changes within the Core HCM module, and to maintain foundational data elements for consistent setup across the system.

You will support releases, upgrades, and new Workday functionality, provide Tier 2/3 support, collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT, and help drive process optimization and data integrity across all HCM data sets.

Responsibilities

• Configure, test, and deploy changes within the Workday Core HCM module (organizations, positions, job profiles, compensation structures, business processes, etc.).
• Maintain foundational data elements and ensure consistent setup across the system.
• Support ongoing releases, system upgrades, and new Workday functionality rollouts.
• Provide day-to-day operational support for HR users and employees.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, collaborating with Workday Support or IT as needed.
• Manage security roles and user access into Workday
• Ownership of Security Matrix
• Analyze current HR processes and identify automation or efficiency opportunities.
• Partner with HR and other stakeholders to design and implement best practices using Workday capabilities.
• Conduct workshops to identify needs and change requests
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all HCM data sets.
• Support HR analytics and compliance reporting.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, Compensation, and IT teams on cross-functional projects.
• Provide training and documentation to HR and business users.
• Participate in change management and communication planning for Workday enhancements and newsletters for HR Community.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
• Use Workday Help to support and process employee cases.
