Job summary

Vanderlande Industries B.V. seeks a Windows & VMware Administrator with 10+ years of overall experience to manage Windows/VMware environments. The role expects knowledge of Server 2016/2019, Windows client OS, patching, and hardware monitoring across global data centers.

You will monitor datacenters, support virtualization, and provide first-level resolution while coordinating with teams worldwide in a fast-paced 24x7 setting.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years overall IT experience with Windows/VMware administration.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Windows Server 2016 R2 and 2019 experience.
  • Client OS experience with Windows 10/11.
  • VMware ESXi 6.0 or higher.
  • Patch Windows and ESXi servers.
  • HP server/storage platforms knowledge is a plus.
  • Server hardware and monitoring concepts knowledge.
  • OP5 and Nagios experience desirable.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced 24x7 environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor datacentre health worldwide and take corrective actions.
  • Support virtualization and network-related topics.
  • Provide first-level contact and convey resolutions; escalate when needed.
  • Monitor and maintain local hardware & software inventory.
  • Operate in a fast-paced 24x7 environment with strong time management.
  • Maintain excellent organizational and case-management skills.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hands-on end-user support in high-availability operations.
  • Experience with Managed Services is a plus.
  • Follow standard hardware/software configurations and storage computing practices.

Job Title Windows & VMware Administrator Job Description Position Name: Windows & VMware Admin

Overall experience – 10 + years.

Mandatory Skills:
  • Excellent Oral and written communication skills
  • 7-8 yrs. of exp in Windows and VMware administration
  • Sound knowledge of server environments
  • Microsoft Windows Server (Server 2016 R2, 2019)
  • Client OS (Windows 10,11)
  • Sound Knowledge of Virtualization, VMware ESXi 6.0 or above
  • Having expertise in Patching Windows & ESXi servers is mandatory.
  • Experience with HP server and storage platforms would be an added advantage.
  • Expert knowledge of Server hardware and monitoring concepts related to the same.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise monitoring tools like OP5 & Nagios would be desired.
Primary Roles & Responsibility:
  • Monitoring health of Datacentres worldwide & & taking corrective actions.
  • Support virtualization & network related topics.
  • Provide first level contact and convey resolutions to customer issues & & elevate unresolved queries to the next level of support.
  • Monitoring and maintaining local inventory of hardware & Software.
  • Experience in a fast pace 24X7 environment, need good time management and quick response.
  • Excellent organizational, and support case management skills.
  • Successful communicator at all levels using all media, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on experience providing end-user support in a high availability, mission critical support operation.
  • Managed Services Support experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within and outside the organization.
  • Strong knowledge of standard hardware & & software configurations, Storage and Computing preferred.
  • Demonstrates skill, knowledge and understanding of company, products, job duties, and appropriate work methods.
Certifications:
  • MCSA/MCSE VCP-DCV certification is must
  • Passing from within past 3 years
