Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Windows & VMware Administrator to manage Windows Server environments and virtualization platforms globally. The role requires hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016 R2, 2019), Windows client OS, and VMware ESXi 6.0+.

Patching and HP server/storage know-how are valued. The candidate will operate in a fast-paced, 24x7 setting with strong communication and incident management skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• 7-8 years of experience in Windows and VMware administration
• Strong knowledge of server environments Windows Server 2016 R2, 2019 and Windows client OS
• Expertise in virtualization with VMware ESXi 6.0 or above
• Expertise in patching Windows and ESXi servers
• Experience with HP server and storage platforms is a plus
• Knowledge of server hardware and monitoring concepts
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools OP5 and Nagios preferred

• Monitor health of data centers worldwide and take corrective actions
• Support virtualization and network related topics
• Provide first level contact and convey resolutions to customer issues and elevate unresolved queries
• Monitor and maintain local inventory of hardware and software

• Demonstrate excellent organizational and case management skills
• Provide end-user support in high availability, mission-critical operations

• Hands-on experience providing end-user support in a high availability, mission critical support operation. Managed Services Support experience is a plus.
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within and outside the organization.
• Strong knowledge of standard hardware & software configurations, Storage and Computing preferred.
• Demonstrates skill, knowledge and understanding of company, products, job duties, and appropriate work methods.

Certifications

• MCSA/MCSE
• VCP-DCV certification is must. Passing from within past 3 years.
