Job summary

Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals (DFPCL) is seeking a Materials Management professional to monitor and control inventory, review receipts, and ensure preservation of materials at designated locations. The role involves coordinating with user departments and top management to correct variances and maintain compliance with excise rules and SAP processes.

The incumbent will manage scrap disposition, maintain RGPS records, and support ISO audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: Any Graduate with Diploma in Materials Management.
• 2–3 years of experience in materials handling dept.
• Knowledge of inventory control techniques.
• Knowledge of material management & accounting.
• Knowledge of excise rules.
• Knowledge of SAP.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain & control inventory; review receipt and accounting of all incoming material; review handling, storage and preservation of all material; analyze variances in inventory levels and correct gaps with user depts. & approval of top management.
• Control receipts, issues & preservation of materials; timely processing of receipts & posting of reservation notes in SAP; ensure availability of materials in stock at designated location; preservation of materials per SOP.
• Scrap management: provide scrap quantities for e-auction; plan & execute scrap disposal per SOP; maintain records of scrap gate passes & invoices; identify surplus/obsolete material and obtain top management approval for disposal.
• RGP / NRGP: maintaining outgoing & incoming records; follow up with users with monthly status; provide reports of pending & overdue RGPS to top management.
• Other assignments: maintaining ISO records; attending ISO audits; providing on-job trainings; interface with internal/external stakeholders.

1) REVIEW THE RECEIPT AND ACCOUNTING OF ALL INCOMING MATERIAL.

• REVIEW HANDLING, STORAGE AND PRESERVATION OF ALL MATERIAL.
• ANALYZE THE VARIANCES IN THE INVENTORY LEVELS AND CORRECT THE GAPS IN CONSULTATION WITH USER DEPTS. & APPROVAL OF TOP MANAGEMENT

2) CONTROLLING RECEIPTS, ISSUES & PRESERVATION OF MATERIALS

• TIMELY PROCESSING RECEIPTS & POSTING OF RESERVATION NOTES IN SAP.
• TIMELY FROWARDING OF TAX & EXCISE INVOICE TO ACCOUNTS / EXCISE DEPT.
• ENSURING AVAILABILITY OF MATERIALS IN STOCK AT DESIGNATED LOCATION WITH CORRECT QUANTITY.
• PRESERVATION OF MATERIALS AS PER METHODOLOGY ADOPTED.

3)SCRAP MANAGEMENT

• PROVIDING SCRAP QUANTITIES FOR
• E-AUCTION.
• PLAN & EXECUTE SCRAP DISPOSAL ACTIVITY AS PER SOP.
• MAINTAIN RECORDS OF SCRAP GATE PASSES & INVOICES.
• IDENTIFY THE SURPLUS/OBSOLETE MATERIAL AND GET APPROVAL FROM THE TOP MANAGEMENT FOR DISPOSAL
• PROVIDING REPORTS TO TOP MANAGEMENT / EXCISE DEPT.

4)RGP / NRGP

• MAINTAINING OUTGOING & INCOMING RECORD
• TAKE NECESSARY FOLLOW UP WITH USERS BY PROVIDING MONTHLY STATUS
• PROVIDING REPORT OF PENDING & OVERDUE RGPS TO TOP MANAGEMENT

5)OTHER ASSIGNMENTS

• MAINTANING ISO RECORDS
• FACING ISO INTERNAL / EXTERNAL AUDITS.
• ATTENDING INTERNAL AUDITS AS PER INTERNAL AUDIT PROGRAMME.
