Job summary

Wabtec India is seeking a Store Operations professional responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials to support production schedules. You will maintain accurate inventory records, ensure proper material handling, and keep stock visibility for internal stakeholders using Oracle ERP.

This role emphasizes adherence to 5S, TPM, and TQM standards, as well as timely updates to ERP and coordination with Purchase, Quality, and other departments to ensure uninterrupted material availability.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of store operations, inventory control, and materials handling.
• Experience with compliance standards (5S/TPM/TQM) is beneficial.
• Ability to track stock and coordinate with production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage component store including receiving, safekeeping, accounting, and issuing materials.
• Ensure materials are available to meet monthly production schedules.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and provide timely status to users.
• Update store transactions in ERP (Oracle) in real time.
• Dispatch materials to subcontractors after document and material verification.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Quality, and other departments for store activities.
• Ensure 5S/TPM/TQM compliance and good housekeeping in stores.
• Assist Store Manager in overall store operations.

Key missions of the position:

• Ensure efficient store operations including receipt, storage, and issue of materials to support production schedules.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock visibility for internal stakeholders.
• Ensure proper material handling, storage practices, and compliance with standards (5S/TPM/TQM).

Main responsibilities:

Store Operations Management

• Manage component store including receiving, safekeeping, accounting, and issuing materials.
• Ensure materials are available to meet monthly production schedules

Inventory Control & Monitoring

• Maintain accurate inventory records and provide timely inventory status to users.
• Conduct perpetual inventory and annual stock verification, including reconciliation.
• Monitor inventory levels and provide alerts to SCM for necessary actions.

Material Handling & Storage

• Ensure proper storage practices to avoid damage or deterioration of materials.
• Maintain shelf-life items as per defined work instructions.
• Identify and manage rejected materials (return/storage/disposal)

System & Documentation

• Update all store transactions in ERP systems (Oracle) on real-time basis.
• Maintain proper documentation for all store transactions.

Dispatch & Coordination

• Dispatch materials to subcontractors after proper verification of documents and materials.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Quality, and other departments for store-related activities.

Compliance & Housekeeping

• Ensure compliance with 5S / TQM / TPM / EMS standards.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe working practices in stores.

Support & Additional Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in overall store operations.

Handle any additional responsibilities assigned from time to time.
