Job summary

Bajaj Consumer Care seeks an experienced Stores/Inventory professional to oversee inventory control, storage, and material movement within the plant. The role emphasizes accurate receiving, proper storage, timely issuing, and systematic recording to support seamless production.

You will lead GMP initiatives, design SOP-compliant store formats, and drive continuous improvement in material handling, with focus on safety, hygiene, and timely reporting to planning teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory, storage, and material movement to support plant operations.
• Ensure materials are accurately received, stored, issued, and recorded.
• Coordinate with planning team to align with weekly production plans.
• Prepare and monitor KPIs like inventory accuracy and stock variance.
• Lead GMP drives and ensure SOP-compliant stores formats.
• Train sub-ordinates and ensure hygiene and safety standards.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for the efficient management of inventory, storage, and material movement within the organization, ensuring that all materials are accurately received, properly stored, timely issued, and systematically recorded to support seamless plant operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Ensuring full fill requirement as per production plan with respective quality norms.
• 2. Devising and implementing policies & procedures to enable smooth functioning of operations.
• 3. Responsible for handling all material related activities like incoming, storage, handling etc.
• 4. Arranging material as per shared weekly plan by planning team.
• 5. Actively and effectively coordinate and panning, production and procurement to fulfil given targets.
• 6. Working on the optimum inventory.
• 7. Considering lead-time, seasonal impact and other possible conditions which may impact material connectivity.
• 8. Daily reporting of slow moving, non-moving and near expiry material to the planning team.
• 9. Ensuring timely decision on rejected, non-moving and near to expire material for their consumption or disposal.
• 10. Leading GMP drive within the plant.
• 11. Design formats related to stores with compliance to SOP.
• 12. Ensuring best hygiene practice adherence and implementation in stores.
• 13. Design training program for skill development of the sub-ordinates.
• 14. Ensuring proper segregation of scrap material and their routine clearance.
• 15. Ensuring proper documentation for all material transactions for future reference.
• 16. Ensuring compliance and ZERO" major observation in internal or external audits.
