Responsibilities

• Manage shift-wise warehouse operations (Inward, Put-away, Storage, Picking, Packing, Dispatch, Inventory).
• Lead and supervise a warehouse workforce around 200 employees.
• Ensure smooth plant warehouse operations and SOP adherence.
• Plan manpower deployment and allocate resources per requirements.
• Manage rotational shifts and handovers for continuity.
• Monitor productivity, attendance, discipline and performance.
• Ensure timely execution of orders, dispatches and material movements.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, stock movements, warehouse housekeeping.
• Implement FIFO/FEFO and other FMCG practices.
• Handle documentation, MIS and operational reports.

Job Summary

Caspian Supply Chain Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and hands-on Shift Manager Warehouse Operations to manage end-to-end warehouse activities at our Bidadi, Bangalore facility.

The ideal candidate should have 812 years of strong hands-on experience in FMCG warehouse/plant warehouse operations, with proven expertise in shift management, manpower handling, inventory control, SAP operations and warehouse process management.

The candidate will be responsible for managing approximately 200 warehouse crew members and ensuring smooth, safe and efficient warehouse operations across rotational shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete shift-wise warehouse operations including Inward, Put-away, Storage, Picking, Packing, Dispatch and Inventory activities.
• Lead and supervise a warehouse workforce of approximately 200 employees/warehouse crew.
• Ensure smooth functioning of plant warehouse operations and adherence to defined SOPs.
• Plan manpower deployment and allocate resources effectively based on operational requirements.
• Manage rotational shifts and ensure proper shift handover and operational continuity.
• Monitor productivity, attendance, discipline and performance of warehouse employees.
• Ensure timely execution of customer orders, dispatches and material movements.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, stock movement and warehouse housekeeping.
• Ensure proper implementation of FIFO/FEFO and other applicable FMCG warehouse practices.
• Handle warehouse documentation, MIS and operational reports.
• Ensure effective utilisation of warehouse space, manpower, MHE and other resources.
• Coordinate with Production, Dispatch, Transport, Inventory, Quality and Client teams for smooth operations.
• Identify operational gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor warehouse KPIs such as productivity, inventory accuracy, order fulfilment, dispatch TAT, manpower utilisation and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, 5S and warehouse SOP standards.
• Handle manpower‑related issues, grievances, discipline and conflict resolution.
• Train and develop supervisors, team leaders and warehouse associates.
• Ensure proper utilisation and maintenance of material handling equipment.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly operational reports to management.
• Support cost optimisation and ensure effective control of warehouse operational expenses.
• Take complete ownership of warehouse operations during the assigned shift.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8 - 12 years of hands‑on experience in FMCG warehouse operations, preferably in a large‑scale plant/warehouse environment.
• Strong experience in warehouse shift operations and plant warehouse management.
• Proven experience managing large manpower teams, preferably 150 - 200+ employees.
• Strong man‑management and leadership skills.
• Good knowledge of warehouse processes including Inward, Put‑away, Storage, Picking, Inventory and Dispatch.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP/WMS, particularly warehouse‑related transactions and inventory processes.
• Good understanding of inventory control and warehouse documentation.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet operational targets.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.

Language Preference

Candidates from Kerala will be preferred, particularly those who can communicate effectively in:

• Kannada Preferred
• Hindi Preferred
• Malayalam
• English

Candidates should be comfortable communicating with a multilingual warehouse workforce.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate/Diploma in any discipline.
• Candidates with qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management or Operations Management will be preferred.

• Experience in reputed FMCG / 3PL / Supply Chain / Distribution / Plant Warehouse operations.
• Experience handling 200+ warehouse manpower.
• Strong exposure to SAP/WMS‑based warehouse operations.
• Hands‑on and operationally strong rather than purely administrative.
• Capable of independently managing a large warehouse shift.
• Strong leadership, discipline and manpower management capabilities.
• Ready to work in rotational shifts and take complete ownership of shift operations.
